2Summary
- We process your data primarily in order to calculate, book, carry out and invoice your ride.
- We load statistics and advertising services (Google Analytics, Google Ads) only if you give your consent in the cookie banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 8).
- We use Google Maps for address suggestions and distance calculation. Our website is available in German and English as separate pages; we load Google Translate only if you choose another language.
- If you pay online, PayPal or Stripe handles the payment – we do not see your card or account details.
- We do not sell your data and only pass it on if this is necessary for the ride, required by law or technically necessary.
3Hosting & server log files
Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, and delivered via its worldwide server network. The booking and administration functions (prices, bookings, invoices) run on our own server at api.transfer511.com with a hosting provider with whom we have concluded a data processing agreement.
Each time you access the website, technical data transmitted by your browser is processed automatically, in particular:
- IP address, date and time of access
- page or file accessed, amount of data transferred, status code
- browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL
This is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably and to fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are stored only for a short time and then deleted, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; we have concluded a data processing agreement with Vercel. Privacy information: vercel.com/legal/privacy-notice.
4Booking, price calculator & invoice
Price calculator
When you calculate a price on the home page, we process the pick-up, stopover and destination addresses you enter as well as the selected trip type and vehicle class in order to determine the distance, travel time and fixed price (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – pre-contractual measures).
Booking
For your booking we process:
- first and last name, email address, phone number
- pick-up and destination address, stopover if applicable, pick-up date and time, return trip if applicable
- vehicle class, number of passengers, suitcases and hand luggage
- optional: flight number, child seat/booster seat, your note for the driver
- price, selected payment method, voucher if applicable, booking number and time of booking
- technical: the page through which you arrived at our website (landing page)
We use this data to carry out the ride, to contact you (e.g. in the event of a flight delay or if we have questions), to send you the booking confirmation and, where applicable, confirmations of changes or cancellations by email, and to invoice the ride. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract). We use the flight number exclusively to track the flight status and adjust the pick-up accordingly.
If you voluntarily provide information about your health in the note for the driver (e.g. wheelchair, reduced mobility), we process this information only in order to carry out the ride accordingly, on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), which you give by entering the information and which you can withdraw at any time.
Within our business, only those persons who dispatch or carry out your ride (e.g. your driver) have access.
Invoice
On request, we issue an invoice – with a different billing address if required – and send it by email to the address you provide. We retain invoices and accounting-relevant documents in accordance with our statutory obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with Section 147 AO, Section 257 HGB).
5Contact via form, email, phone & WhatsApp
If you contact us via the contact form, by email or by phone, we process the information you provide (e.g. name, email, phone number, message) in order to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a booking; otherwise it is our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Our website contains links to WhatsApp. Only when you click on such a link are you redirected to WhatsApp; the privacy policy of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland, then applies. WhatsApp processes, among other things, your phone number and metadata and may transfer data to the USA. If you write to us via WhatsApp, we process your message and phone number in order to deal with your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Alternatively, you can reach us by phone or email at any time. Privacy information: whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy-eea.
6Google Maps (address search & distance)
For address suggestions while you type and for calculating distance and travel time – and thus the fixed price – we use the Google Maps Platform (Places API, Distance Matrix) provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). For this purpose, the map services are loaded from Google servers; in the process, your IP address, the addresses or search terms you enter and technical data are transmitted to Google, possibly also to the USA.
Without this service, we cannot calculate a fixed price for you. The legal basis is therefore Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (implementation of pre-contractual measures) and our legitimate interest in correct price calculation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); access to your device takes place insofar as it is strictly necessary for this service requested by you (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).
Current location: Only if you tap “Use current location” in the address field and allow this in your browser do we determine your location in order to enter it as the pick-up address (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We do not store your location beyond this.
Google’s privacy information: policies.google.com/privacy.
7Google Translate (language selection)
Our website is available in German and English as separate pages; no Google service is used for this. For further languages (e.g. French, Turkish), we use Google Translate (Google Translate Website Widget) from Google. It is loaded only if you actively choose one of these further languages in the language selection. Only then is a script loaded from Google servers, your IP address transmitted to Google and the content of the page sent to Google for translation. We store your language choice in a cookie or in your browser’s storage (“googtrans”). If you switch back to German or English, this setting is deleted and Google Translate is no longer loaded.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in making the website accessible to passengers who speak other languages (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG for storing the language you have expressly chosen.
8Google Analytics & Google Ads (only with consent)
Only if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner do we load Google Analytics 4 and – where set up – Google Ads conversion tracking (both provided by Google Ireland Limited). If you decline, these services are not loaded.
What is recorded?
- pages visited, time spent, landing page and source (e.g. search engine, ad)
- clicks on buttons and links, e.g. “Call”, “WhatsApp”, “Email”, “Book with obligation to pay”
- reservations and completed bookings with booking value, vehicle class and payment method – without your name, your email or addresses
- device and browser information, approximate location (country/city), truncated IP address
The purpose is to understand how our website is used, to improve it and to measure whether our ads lead to bookings. For this purpose, Google sets cookies (e.g. “_ga”, “_gcl_*”) with a lifetime of up to 2 years. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). We transmit your consent to Google via “Google Consent Mode”. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for a maximum of 14 months.
Withdrawing or changing your consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To do so, click the following button – the cookie banner will then appear again:
Google’s privacy information: policies.google.com/privacy · How Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
9Online payment with PayPal & Stripe
You can pay the driver (in cash or by card) or pay online in advance. If you choose online payment, you will be redirected to our payment service provider:
- PayPal – PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg. Privacy: paypal.com/de/legalhub/privacy-full
- Credit card via Stripe – Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Ireland. Privacy: stripe.com/de/privacy
For this purpose, we transmit your name, email address, booking number and amount. You enter your card or account details directly with the payment service provider; we do not receive them, only confirmation of whether the payment was successful. The payment service providers may carry out their own checks to prevent fraud and may transfer data to third countries. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
10Cookies & storage in your browser
In addition to the Google Analytics/Ads cookies (only with consent, Section 8), we store the following information in your browser’s storage (local storage, session storage or cookie) because it is strictly necessary for the functions you have requested (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG):
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| transfer511_analytics_consent | your choice in the cookie banner | until you delete it |
| persist:root | your ride and booking details, so that they are not lost when switching between the booking steps | until you delete it |
| transfer511_landing_page | landing page of your visit, stored with the booking | until the tab is closed |
| transfer511_last_tracked_booking_id | prevents the same booking from being counted twice (only used with consent) | until you delete it |
| googtrans | selected language (Google Translate, only for languages other than German and English) | session / until you delete it |
You can delete this data at any time via your browser settings. Any booking details not yet submitted may then be lost.
11Fonts
The fonts used on our website are hosted locally on our server. When you access the site, no connection to servers of Google or other providers is established for this purpose.
12Storage period
We store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose:
- Booking data: for carrying out the ride and thereafter until the statutory limitation periods expire (generally 3 years from the end of the year in which the ride took place).
- Invoices and booking records: 8 or 10 years in accordance with Section 147 AO and Section 257 HGB, after which they are deleted.
- Contact enquiries without a booking: until your request has been dealt with, and then after 6 months at the latest.
- Analytics data (only with consent): a maximum of 14 months.
13Recipients & transfers to third countries
Your data is received only to the extent necessary by: our drivers, our technical service providers (hosting, email delivery) as processors, the providers named in this policy (Google, PayPal, Stripe, WhatsApp) and, where applicable, tax advisors and authorities if we are legally obliged to disclose it.
Some of these providers are based in the USA or may transfer data there. For the USA, there is an adequacy decision of the EU Commission (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) for certified companies, including Google and Vercel. Where no adequacy decision applies, we safeguard the transfer by means of EU standard contractual clauses.
14Your rights
You have the right at any time to:
- access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), unless there is a statutory retention obligation
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- withdraw consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
Where we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
To exercise your rights, an informal message to info@transfer511.com is sufficient.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:
Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information), Postfach 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden – datenschutz.hessen.de
15Obligation to provide data
For a booking, we need your name, email address, phone number as well as the pick-up and destination address and the date and time. Without this information, we cannot carry out the ride. All other information (e.g. child seat, note, flight number for rides to the airport) is voluntary. No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
16Changes
We will amend this privacy policy if our website, our services or the legal situation change. The version published here at the relevant time applies. Last updated: 26 September 2026.
